Farsh Bazar Police Arrests Thief, Recovers ₹2.5 Lakh Stolen Cash

Delhi police have caught a thief, Mohammad Tajim, 22, and recovered Rs 2.5 lakh from him. Tajim, a resident of New Govindpura Jagatpuri Shahdara was caught after a police by police investigation. The police started investigating the case on January 31, 2025 at 6 a.m. when a theft was reported in Gali No. 6A, Vishwas Nagar. The police responded quickly and sent SI Tinku and HC Krishnaveer to the crime scene. Ashish Verma made a complaint and after his statement, the police called the crime team and made an FIR number 56/25. The investigation continued to gain momentum as the police analyzed the CCTV footage from the area. The police formed a special team and also involved local informants in the search for the thief. Mohammad Tajim was identified and arrested. He admitted during interrogation that he entered a house at 4 a.m. on January 31 by using an LPG gas pipeline to gain entry. He stole a bag of cash in the amount of Rs 7.5 lakhs. However, ₹2.5 lakh was recovered when he was caught. Tajim stated that he is a fruit vendor but has become a thief because of his addiction to drugs. This is a positive outcome for the Farsh Bazar police who reacted quickly and recovered the stolen money. This incident brings out the increasing number of thefts in Delhi. The local police have asked people to be more watchful and to report any unusual activities to avoid such incidents.
