Two youngsters were among the three victims who perished in the flooded region of an underpass in two different locations one day after the city was battered by torrential rains.
According to a senior police officer, the first incidence happened in SP Badali in northwest Delhi at the Siraspur underpass, which is close to the metro. On Saturday afternoon, the area was inundated with two to three feet of water.
Around 2:30 pm, the police received a report regarding the boys drowning, and a team was dispatched right away. According to the officer, they searched and retrieved the remains with the aid of a fire department.
According to him, one of the lads lives in Siraspur, and the other’s identity is yet unknown. According to another officer, it seemed at first glance that the youngsters may have drowned while having a bath. The deceased has been sent to the Babu Jagjeevan Ram Medical Center.
According to another official, the second occurrence happened on Friday at six in the morning in the Okhla Industrial Area. A guy perished in the area of the underpass that was flooded. According to them, the victim was identified as Jaitpur resident Digvijay Kumar Chaudhary, 60.
According to authorities, inquest procedures have been started in both cases in accordance with section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Investigations are still being conducted further.
