Car Accident Shocks Delhi as Vehicle Falls Onto Railway Tracks From Flyover

A car accident in Delhi became a major traffic disruption on Sunday when a vehicle lost control on the Mukarba Chowk flyover before crashing onto railway tracks near Haiderpur Metro Station. The driver Sachin Chaudhary who lives in Pratap Vihar Railway Colony of Ghaziabad suffered injuries during the accident before medical staff transported him to receive hospital care.

The driver lost control of his vehicle while driving from Peeragarhi to Ghaziabad when he crossed the flyover section that spanned above the railway tracks. The car struck the pavement before breaking through the guardrail and sliding down a grassy slope until it ended up with its roof facing the sky on the railway tracks. The vehicle suffered extensive damage from the accident because its roof collapsed and multiple parts spread across the railway tracks.

The unexpected accident caused train services to stop for about one hour until emergency responders finished clearing the tracks. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outernorth) Hareshwar Swami led police teams of police officers who arrived at the scene to coordinate the rescue efforts after receiving the alert.

The accident demonstrates how losing control of a vehicle while speeding on flyovers creates dangerous situations which threaten road safety in the capital region. The investigation team works to determine the complete circumstances surrounding this incident.
