The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has launched its new headquarters, ‘Keshav Kunj,’ in New Delhi. The complex is situated over four acres of land and was erected at an expense of ₹150 crore. The complex is adorned with three towers namely Sadhana, Prerana and Archana, a hospital, a library, an auditorium and a Hanuman temple. This state-of-the-art facility was fully funded by public donations from 75,000 supporters, from as low as ₹5 to several lakhs. Situated on a five lakh square feet of land, Keshav Kunj is a centre of RSS activities, with contemporary facilities such as conference rooms, an auditorium that can accommodate more than 1,300 people and dwelling spaces. The building is divided into three towers, namely, Sadhana for RSS offices, Prerana and Archana for residential purposes. The big open space with a well-trimed lawn and a statue of the founder of RSS, Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, is used for daily shakhas. The facility also has a five-bed hospital and a library called Keshav Pustakalaya located on the 10th floor of the building which is a research library for the Sangh. The mess and canteen are also available to benefit both visitors and residents. It was in the last year that functionaries of the organisation started moving into the complex and now the shift is complete. The Karyakarta Milan event shall take place at the headquarters on February 19, preceded by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and this will be followed by the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Bengaluru from March 21 to 23. Keshav Kunj is larger than the BJP headquarters and is likely to support increasing work of the RSS owing to its modern, sustainable, and comprehensive design.
