A 20-year-old shot dead incident has shaken northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area late Sunday night. According to officials, the crime occurred around 11:40 PM when police received a distress call reporting that a young man, identified as Sameer, had been shot in the J-Block locality.
Emergency services quickly responded, and Sameer was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Following the tragic event, crime and forensic science laboratory (FSL) teams inspected the scene for evidence. Senior police officers also arrived at the spot to oversee the investigation and ensure proper procedures were followed.
Authorities confirmed that a case has been registered at the Seelampur police station. Several teams have been formed and deployed with the task of identifying and apprehending those responsible for the fatal shooting.
The motive behind the killing remains under investigation as officials continue gathering information and analyzing CCTV footage from the area. The sudden death of the young man has caused concern and fear among local residents, prompting increased police presence in the neighborhood.
Police have assured that strict action will be taken and that efforts are underway to swiftly bring the culprits to justice.
